Physicians, sonographers, or genetic counselors participate in a 1 day Nuchal Translucency(NT) training program. You must pass the examination at the end of the day to receive the course certificate. Submit 10 films to NTD Labs for submission to the Fetal Medicine Foundation for review. FMF will issue your NT certificate. Send a copy to NTD Labs to start using Ultra-Screen®.
Once we receive notification from you or the Fetal Medicine Foundation that you are qualified to perform NT measurements NTD Labs can begin accepting your blood specimens and provide you with a combined First Trimester risk result.
NTD will log in each sonographers NT measurement for each sample and send each sonographer their NT medians quarterly. NTD will submit the medians to FMF yearly for certificate renewal. FMF will request to review 5 NT scans yearly.
